getting to the wedding from melbourne

If you are staying in Melbourne, you can grab either an Uber, a cab or the SkyBus from either Tullamarine (Qantas, Virgin) or Avalon (Jetstar). SkyBus is the cheapest option (and very quick) because both airports are fair distances from the city centre. SkyBus is $36 return (Tulla) or $42 (Avalon) and takes you to Southern Cross station, then you can get a tram, train, cab or Uber to your hotel.

If you are staying in Healesville or somewhere else in the Yarra Valley, you will either want to share a cab or Uber (as the journey is 1.5 hours and could be around $200 one way) or rent a car.

We have organised for a free coach to pick you up from Melbourne at 3.30pm on Saturday 23 June 2018 and take you to the venue.

At the end of the night, the same coach will take you back to Melbourne.

In the survey, please let us know your hotel and we can advise whether the coach can pick you up from your hotel, or otherwise your closest meeting point.

Things to do in melbourne and the yarra valley

Melbourne uses an electronic ticketing system called myki to pay for trams and trains. Pick a card up at a 7-Eleven and put some credit onto it. Touch on and off trains and just touch on when you get on a tram. You can top your myki up at most tram stops and all train stations.

If you are tramming around the city only, trams are free.

Uber and taxis are everywhere.
